GWC2 offers this program for outstanding students who graduated with an overall ‘A’ standing at the undergraduate level. Students in this program must successfully complete three regular graduate courses, plus CHEM 784(0), Literature Review (generally in the 1st term but no later than the 2nd term), the MSc Seminar (in the 2nd term), the PhD oral comprehensive examination (in the 5th term), the PhD Seminar (by the end of the 7th term), and submit and defend an acceptable thesis. The Direct Entry program is generally 15 terms in length.
